Falun Gong as one of three biggest political movements (02/15/2000)
The Washington Post reported on February 15, 2000 that China's
crackdown was viewed as one of the three biggest political movements
of 1999.
It added that on April 25, about 10,000 Falun Gong adherents converged
on Beijing and surrounded the headquarters of the Communist Party.
President Jiang Zemin has in recent days labeled the illegal Falun
Gong protests as an internal threat.
