to expose evilness of "Falun Gong Cult" opens in HK (03/18/2001)
An exhibition to expose the evilness of the "Falun Gong"
cult opened Saturday in Hong Kong.
Sponsored by the Hong Kong-based "Wen Wei Po" newspaper
and the Chinese History and Culture Educational Foundation For Youth
of Hong Kong, the exhibition exposed the evil nature and damages
of the "Falun Gong" cult with some 200 pictures in three
parts.
The first part related the activities of various evil cults in
the United States, Japan and Uganda and the steps to crack down
on these cults taken by the Chinese government. The second part
told the fact of the suicidal blaze incident at the Tiananmen Square
and stories of "Falun Gong" cult victims. The third part
laid bare the activities of the "Falun Gong" cult in Hong
Kong and the combat to denounce the cult in the community.
Delivering a speech at the opening ceremony, Zhang Guoliang, president
of "Wen Wei Po" newspaper, said the exhibition is held
at the request of the readers and people from all walks of life
in the city.
With the convincing facts and pictures, the exhibition is aimed
to acquaint people with the jeopardy of evil cults and the sin of
the "Falun Gong" cult in order to foster a healthy culture
of upholding civilization and objecting evil cults in Hong Kong,
he added.
Jiang Enzhu, director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's
Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, attended
the opening ceremony.
